Karatara

I live 100km away from karatara and yet i have never heard of the place before and at the beggining of 2007 when i heard about a green business school situated in this area that aimed at bringing education to the disadvantaged community,an educational ficility that provides to its students an education that pays for itself.to me all this was new because like any other ,matriculant at that time all i had planned for was going to a university somewhere in south africa just like any other 18 year old.

i clearly remember the first day up here,to a place about 20km off the N2 and entering karatara the only thoughts going through my mind was "is this for real",am i really going to last the year in a place like this.Not knowing that after spending the year at eden campus i would have learnt alot about bulelani magxaka in this one year than i knew myself.

the open day was for new and possible students but on the day we ended up attracting most of the local community in karatara which was amazing for me personally. When i first started here at eden campus i had the feeling that the people of the local community felt like we thought we were better than them meanwhile we were trying to make karatara our home,the place to help us succeed in laying down the best possible foundation and preparing us in being able to maintain our goals in life and most importantly better understand who we are
